pandadoc-plus is delighted to announce another first for the company today, the launch of the UK’s first private Covid vaccination service via its established nationwide network of partner community pharmacies. For the first-time ever, members of the public will be able to pop into their local independent pharmacy to get a private Covid jab for as little as £45. At present people aged 75 years and above, care home residents and anyone aged six months or over who is immunosuppressed qualify for a free Covid vaccination paid for by the NHS but millions are left with no way of protecting themselves by vaccination against Covid in the UK.
Pharmadoctor will fully support pharmacists to offer private Covid vaccinations to their communities using all licensed and available private Covid vaccines.
Participating pharmacies will be listed on the Pandadoc-plus patient website so that patients will be able to find their nearest pharmacy offering the service, book an appointment (for free) and fill in pre-consultation forms online ahead of their face-to-face appointment with their chosen pharmacy. As with all other pandadoc-plus pharmacy vaccination services, when the patient presents in pharmacy, the pharmacist will be able to quickly pick up the patient’s online pre-consultation information using the pandadoc-plus system, complete the consultation and administer a vaccine if clinically appropriate to do so.
